Mechatronics Engineering: Exploring UK Universities - AHZ Associates
What is Mechatronics Engineering?
Mechatronic engineering is the practise of designing electromechanical systems that are controlled by computers. The primary idea is that by integrating the mechanical system's design with that of the electrical/electronic and computer control components, a comprehensive system is produced.
A few examples of mechatronic systems (ABS) include a CD or DVD player, a computer hard drive, a fly-by-wire aircraft control system, and an anti-lock braking system. Even though the majority of these products are mechanical in nature, they could not function without the electrical and computer control systems, which were integrated into their design.

Entry Requirements for Mechatronics Engineering in the UK
A-level– AAA combining mathematics with either chemistry, physics, electronics, or further mathematics.
GCSE– A minimum grade of C or higher in GCSE Maths is required, or a grade of 4 or higher for those with recently revised GCSEs in England. For applicants holding recently reformed GCSEs in England, GCSE English Language is required at a minimum of Grade B or higher or Grade 6 or above. Students who qualify for a contextual offer must demonstrate their GCSE English Language grade C/5 language skills.
International Baccalaureate– Obtain a 36-point International Baccalaureate diploma, including six points in either higher-level mathematics, physics, or chemistry, and six points in another higher-level topic.
English language– All international and domestic applicants to the university must provide proof of their fluency in the English language. The following two options meet the course’s minimal English language requirements:
GCSE/iGCSE English Language grade B/6.
IELTS 7.0 overall with no sub-test below 6.5 and 7.0 in speaking.
TOEFL iBT: 100 overall with 25 in each sub-test.
